1. Keep the crime in the game
Betrayals, muggings, bounties, turf wars and hits on a rival are all fair play. That's the game. Taking it out on the real person behind the username is not - that means inside the game or outside it.
2. Respect people
- No harassment, bullying, or hounding a player until they quit.
- No hate speech or slurs aimed at anyone's race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability or age.
- No threats of real-world violence, and no encouraging self-harm.
- No sexual content involving minors - ever. We report it.
- No sharing anyone's personal information (doxxing).
- No pretending to be staff or another player.
3. Play fair
- No bots, scripts, macros or automation - a person plays every account.
- No exploiting bugs. Found one? Tell us at [email protected] and keep it to yourself.
- One account per person. No second accounts to feed your main, farm the Market or Guest List, or fill your own family's chairs.
- No sharing, selling or buying accounts.
- No trading Gold Bars, gear, cash or accounts for real money or anything outside the game.
4. Names and what you post
Usernames, family names, family tags, chat and mail follow the same rules: nothing hateful, sexual, threatening or impersonating, and no advertising. We may rename or remove anything that crosses the line.
5. Chat and mail
- No spam and no flooding the chat.
- No scams or phishing. Don't ask for anyone's password - we never will.
- No links to malware or anything illegal.
6. Reporting a problem
Block anyone you don't want to hear from in Contacts. To report a player, email [email protected] with their username, what happened and roughly when. Screenshots help.
7. What happens if you break the code
Depending on how serious it is and whether it's happened before, we may:
- warn you,
- mute you in chat,
- change your name,
- remove items, currency or progress, or roll it back,
- suspend your account, or
- ban your account permanently.
Some things - like sexual content involving minors or real-world threats - mean an immediate ban. If you think we got it wrong, email [email protected] and we'll take another look.
